How To Mirrow Your Windows And Android Phone To Your TV Screen

Miracast is a wireless display standard included in Windows 8.1, Android 4.2, and newer versions of these operating systems. With a Miracast receiver plugged into a TV or another display nearby, casting your screen should be easy.

To use screen mirroring, both devices have to meet a few minimum requirements. The phone or tablet you want to cast from must support screen mirroring and be able to send out data. The TV or projector you want to cast to must support screen mirroring and be able to capture and play that data.

To find out if your phone or tablet supports mirroring, refer to the documentation or perform an internet search. Note that you might also have to enable the Miracast or Screen Mirroring feature in Settings, so keep an eye out for that too.

There are two ways you can mirrow your Android screen to your Tv screen.

  • The use of Wire -You can use Wire to connect your Android device to your Tv through HDMI.
  • Wireless – You can also connect your Android phone to your Tv without wire through Miracast or Chromecast depending on what you want to do.

How to chromecast.

You dont need any app if your androd is 4.4.2 or of a higher version.Download google home app from the play store if you dont have it. Connect your phone Wi-fi to that of your TV. Go to the google app and select the menu. open the menu and select the cast screen or audio. There is a blue button, open it and select device which you would want to connect it to.

How to Miracast

Miracast can be done on Amazon’s Fire OS, Android 4.2, Windows 8.1 and recent versions of the operating system. Miracast is also a wireless method of displaying your Android device on your Tv screen. Plug yor Miracast receiver to your TV or any other displaying device that is close to make it easy.

For window 8.1+

If you are using Windows 8.1 or Window RT 8.1, it will support it but if you have upgraded your old device to window 8.1 it may likely support miracast or it may not. If it does not support it go to device manufacturer website to update your windows to be able to see the Add wireless display option. The option can also refuse to show up until you uninstall VirtualBox on surface pro 2.

The miracast option can be accessed by swiping from the right or press Windows Key + C then select the device charm and click on the project option. if their is add wireless display in your option, it means that your pc supports miracast.To project to a miracast device click on the Add wireless display option, select the device list. You can also disconnect your device from wireless display by opening the device charm, project option or tap. then select the project option, click on the disconnect button.

Android 4.2+If your Android device is an old version update it to the latest version.

Open your device settings app click on the display, scroll down and click on the tap cast sreen then click on menu botton at the top of your device screen, select the wireless display. If your miracast receiver is nearby and on it will appear in the list.

When you click on the device to cast a notification will appear showing that you are casting your screen. You can stop casting yor screen by pulling down the notification at the bottom of your screen, click on disconnect button to stop casting. This process is performed with a Nexus 4 running Android 4.4.4.
